Pitta pockets, perfect for eating on the run...

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 8 HERTA® Frankfurter Classics
  • 2tsp Olive oil 
  • 4 Wholemeal pitta breads
  • ½ Cucumber, cut into thin slices
  • 55g Feta, cut into cubes
  • 4 Tomatoes, sliced
  • Handful watercress or salad
  • Fresh tomato salsa, to serve

Method

  1. Slice the frankfurters on the diagonal and fry in the oil over a high heat for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Pop the pitta breads into a toaster.
  4. When they are golden brown, carefully remove them from the toaster and leave to cool before splitting them open – they will be really hot inside!
  5. Fill the pittas with the ingredients and serve with the salsa.
