    Where can I buy Herta products?

    Our range of Herta Frankfurters is available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrisons, and Iceland – both in-store and online. You can also find them on Ocado and in One Stop, Co-op and other various wholesalers.

    The Herta Ham & Cheese Toasties can be found in Tesco, Ocado, and Iceland – with further locations to come.

    Where is the pork for the frankfurters sourced from?

    The meat in our Herta pork products in the UK is sourced from farms predominantly in Denmark.

    Is there garlic in the recipe?

    Herta Chicken Frankfurters have flavourings derived from both onion & garlic. Herta Originals have flavourings from garlic, but not onion.

    Do Herta products contain dairy?

    Yes, all Herta products contain dairy.

    Can I eat the frankfurters raw?

    You can eat frankfurters straight from the pack, but for a better taste, we suggest cooking them first.

    • Hob: simmer for 4 minutes.
    • Microwave (Heating Category E 850 W): place two frankfurters on a microwavable plate and cover. Cook on Half Power for 1 minute, and leave to stand for 30 seconds before serving.
    • Fry: with a little oil over moderate heat for 4 minutes, turning frequently.

    Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given only as a guide. Ensure that the product is hot throughout before serving.

    Can I freeze Herta products?

    Yes, Herta products are suitable for home freezing. Freeze on the day of purchase. Defrost thoroughly before use. After defrosting keep refrigerated and eat within 2 days. Do not refreeze.

    Do I need to cook the Toasties?

    Yes, the Herta Ham & Cheese Toasties need to be cooked. The easiest way is in your toaster for 6 minutes – cooking times may vary based on your appliance, so check halfway through cooking.
